You also seem to misunderstand the differences with Export and Open in
External Editor. One is setup via preferences, one is setup based on
whatever export presets you may have selected (so there are NO
defaults). And as mentioned, Adobe clearly indicates which encoding
color space is recommended, something you missed. No, Adobe RGB (1998)
is not suggested.
