Lightbox Measurement

Hello. I am using an i1Pro to measure transparency lightboxes. When I
measure my monitors I attach the i1Pro to the counter-weighted cradle which
also has the feature of blocking stray light via the felt lined edges. I am
wondering if I should be placing the i1Pro in this cradle for measuring a
light box as well. How are others doing it?

I do notice that a measurement in the cradle differs slightly from a
measurement without the cradle by about 20 cd/m^2. I assume that using the
cradle is the correct thing to do, but wanted to ask how others are doing
it. It¹s kind of clunky with the weight attached (and a real pain to take
the weight on-off as needed).

Thanks!
