I wish it were as easy as you say. So the movie has a profile already, I guess -- it looks like it's "HD (1-1-1)" according to the Finder's Get Info window for the movie.  (I don't see any way to see that in QuickTime Player X or QuickTime Player 7).

However, what I want is to be able to assign the same profile to the image that I get (by copying out the frame using QuickTime Player 7 and doing 'New from Clipboard in Preview).  I don't see any way to get to this 'HD (1-1-1)' profile for images.


Am I really the first person to copy a frame out of a movie, and expect the colors to actually match????   It's so easy to demonstrate, and so obviously wrong....
