Hi,

I had reasonably good results imaging a rose some years ago, and
printing the image; however without being nasty, I don' think that
this is something a beginner can do well by himself; although the
difficulty of achieving good results with CMS is a deficiency of the
present overcomplicated setup, rather than a lack of ability on the
part of the users, in practice taking a course is probably the only
way an individual photographer can hope to achieve good
capture-to-print color in a reasonable amount of time.

Or maybe, simply use film.
