I'm no electrical engineer, but I think it would be enough except for
the fact that all lamps change as they age, so calibration needs to be
addressed frequently. I'm sure you could check out the stability of your
regulated supply by altering the input voltage with a variac and seeing
what happens to your readout of the Solux using the spectro. It will
probably be good over a short range, but if you see it changing a lot
stop or you'll stress out the supply to failure.

It would seem like a perfect job for a Solux lamp. It could be run
off
a
voltage stabilizer and the SPD curve is a beautiful match to daylight
without spikes or dips. It's also filtered for I.R. and U.V.
