You don't mention it, but I assume you're using exactly the same
profiling software and settings?
In addition to the comments others have made, make sure that the
driver Media Setting is correct and/or the same as you used
previously. With the Epson driver, the media setting can have a
profound effect on the amount of ink laid down. When working with
new papers, it is often useful to do the type of plot Mr. Breton
described previously to determine the best Media Setting for that
paper / ink combination. What is recommended by the paper
manufacturer is sometimes not ideal and that can severely limit the
gamut.
Am I missing something? All profiles were generated at least twice.
I don't use profile editing software.
As was mentioned previously, I also think it would be worthwhile to
compare "canned" profiles with the profiles that you're making now
(and made previously). That may help you determine if there is a
problem with your current profiles, or if the gamut is in fact
smaller on these papers. I would also second Marco's excellent
advice about ColorThink Pro. If you're going through all of the time,
work, and expense of doing this, you deserve a professional level
tool to evaluate your results. Otherwise, you're throwing darts in
the dark hoping to hit the target - and not knowing when you do.
Good luck, and please give an update after you sort this out.
