Features & Benefits
Third Generation Spyder Technology
The Spyder3 colorimeter is based on a state-of-the-art optical
design, . . . . . Spyder3 provides industry-leading performance
for the precision calibration of LCD, CRT, projector and notebook
displays.
Perhaps I should have said that differently. The Spyder 3 doesn't have
a baffle to eliminate ambient light. When the Spyder3's suction cup is
used, the sensor can be a short distance away from the monitors
surface and one can get poor measurements in the shadows due to
ambient light contamination. I always put a black cloth over the
display when calibrating so this isn't an issue and the Spyder3
performs very well on CRTs with this precaution.
