Fine, all you've done is screw yourself and your customer because
they lost 3 months of production. Sit on your hands and wait, or
worse, feed the rumor mill and, well you'll have to wait anyway.
What's the point?
Listen Andrew, nobody's feeding the rumor mill, certainly not me,
we're just asking questions. "They" can either choose to enlighten us
or not. Frankly, it might not hurt to generate a little excitement
around XRite these days.
As far as "lost production", you know there are other profiling
applications besides what XRite offers, didn't you? You did know that
right? So just MAYBE if somebody was in the market for a profiling
application and were looking at 4-5 year-old products from XRite vs.
something that was a bit more up-to-date from some of their
competitors, at least if they knew that their investment in XRite
product was somewhat protected should something (inevitably?) newer
come out in the near term, they may be less inclined to jump ship.
The entire set of posts is simply a bandwidth waste as no one who
really knows what's coming is going to tell those who don't.
Couldn't help but notice that you're generating a lot of bandwidth
telling us how much of a waste of bandwidth this whole discussion
is. :-)
