I can't see what the problem is here? Are you unable to accept the

On face value, no. Can you explain, using identical ICC profiles how
or more importantly why there would be this difference? Its not the
profiles. Is it the CMM? What else do you know (not feel) produces
this difference?
Doesn't have to be a bug does it? You're making the same mistake as
the the designer of the test chart -- treating the conversion engine
as if it plays an insignificant part in the process.
Yes, it probably would be a bug that would account for differences
using the same profiles correctly and getting such differences in
differing CMMs. What conversion engine are you referring to?
It may surprise you but I don't think that I'm the only person on
this list who chooses to use alternative software for colour
conversions.
That’s immaterial, the reason is WHY? You go out and say you’d rather
have needles inserted into your eyeballs than use the Adobe (or Apple)
conversions. I asked why and you pretty much produced a vague and
unscientific explanation. I’m trying to figure out what would cause
this “huge” difference. And again, its your position to prove this is
the case so lets have some more details and an explanation.
The resulting separations are significantly different to Photoshop.
More detailed in saturated colours and less prone to clipping so
that they can be enhanced with further retouching if necessary.
Well why? Do you really believe that two ICC profiles used to produce
such conversions should do this?
