The ColorSyncScripting.app which is hidden away in /System/Library/
ScriptingAdditions was removed in 10.6 so I don't think you could
argue it was "still there".
A lot of the features (it didn't really have that many) in the
ColorSyncScripting.app are also found in the more feature-rich Image
Events (/System/Library/CoreServices/Image Events.app) and its shell
counterpart sips. So most scripts that used ColorSyncScripting can
call on Image Events to carry out the same tasks.
But it would have been nice to have been warned of its demise :(
And there may be as many as 17 people worldwide who used "match link"
and are now slightly miffed.
The ColorSync Scripts which are supplied with 10.6 have been reduced
from 18 to 8 and all call on the shell and sips rather than Image
Events... so one wonders how long Image Events is going to last?
