Hi all,
Removing AppleScript from ColorSync is lame.
Though I am not using it in any current scripts, I have dozens of
AppleScripts to look at files, identify profiles and more.
I loved AppleScript in ColorSync (and I remember when John Gnaegy
suggested it might be possible while we were flying back from Seybold
Boston one year).
And, I am a REALLY MAD Mac this week because installing Snow Leopard
killed all of my printers, and ERASED one year of Time Machine back-
ups. They are gone.
I have now spent an entire business day trying to rebuild printer
drivers (just learned that there is ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT for my wide-
format Epson 9600 except Gutenprint). I was going to try rewiring it
to be a FireWire printer, but it has no FireWire plug.
Hint to others who are fighting the printer driver battle with Snow
Leopard: right-click in the Add Printer menu to restore "Advanced" to
the toolbar. While you're there, add "Customize Toolbar" also.
Epson has no solution, yet, to support Epson IP printing for the 9600
in Snow Leopard.
Until I get this all sorted out, I am dead in the water and cannot use
my wide-format printer (My experience with Gutenprint is that it
prints about half the color gamut available on this printer).
This may be the last time I am an early-adopter. It's just too
painful. Why did I want Snow Leopard?
Mad Mac Brian Lawler
