When you make a monitor profile, what you're actually profiling is the
combination of monitor and video card, so importing a profile from another
computer may not work so well. If you can, switch the video card as well.
The ideal would be to install OSX on the old computer. This can be done on
"non-supported" computers, even quite old ones, using a utility called
XpostFacto, available from One World Computer. OSX runs painfully slow on
something like a PowerMac 8600, for example, but it works, probably well
enough to create a profile. You may need a cheap USB card as well, for
whatever device you will be using. That might actually be harder to obtain.
