I wrote what I wrote to say that WCS was part of VISTA, and that VISTA was "retired" by Microsoft. Are you disputing THAT too?

It's difficult not to! I did try.  ;)

Vista has only been 'retired' in the same way that Tiger and Leopard have been 'retired' and replaced by Snow Leopard. Three years after release Vista has been upgraded to Win7, and, to keep this post on-topic, the new color management system - WCS - lives on in Win7, just as it did in Vista.
