Back to topic via a vis Colorsync upgrade.
So, what about choosable colorsync versions inside OS X? It would be amazing if we could solo what version of colorsync we needed for any particular application. I think this would give the control back to us users and leave Apple free to upgrade their CM features as quickly as they wanted (even starting a beta program) without having to worry about complications. This would give the users the chance to work with cutting edge CM tech and give Apple critical and widespread user bug feedback before any new system comes out. Considering that OS X is intel only now, if we started CM modularization frozen from SL up, it would be much simpler.
I figure this is insanely complicated considering how embedded all this is inside the system. But in the long run, I see it as really beneficial to both Apple and the user community. It would certainly keep Apple in the front.
