Hi Marco,
Check out what Michael Richael Reichmann has to say about the iPad and
professional photographers:

He believes it is a game changer in the publishing industry. If he is
right, it would be nice for the content creators to have some kind of
consistent color. If this is true, it will have profound effects on the
members of this group.

Yes Ray, I can see that too. Although the letters ICC are partially hidden
by the word gdgt. But it's there, and it can only be good news!
So if the iPhone will have ICC profile support then it follows that the
iPad, which I think is even more important for large "format" display,
relative to the iPhone tiny screen, will have it too? Does that mean that
we'll soon see new iPad apps that will calibrate and profile the screen? Or
Apple will be including some kind of generic, sRGB-type "monitor" profile?
Hi Roger.
I'm trying to guess how ICC profiles would benefit the average iPhone/iPad user, who is highly unlikely to perform color-critical work on those devices.
As far as the Web goes, most sites do not place tags on their images either.
Also, how wide is a viewing angle of stable appearance on these devices?
Not to mention the effects of flare and other factors due to a non-controllable surrounding environment.
