Hi Ben
2010/4/29 Ben Goren <email@hidden>:
> I suppose that's the dirty little secret of color management, isn't it? We could have a fully-managed workflow with fractional DEs at every point in the chain...only to deliver the print to the final end-user who'll be looking at it by the light of a cheap CFL on its last legs....
But, Ben. The point is that we (users, prepress and press operators,
even scientists adhering to standards) can communicate colors.
>From a color management perspective there's no law that says you
cannot use other observers/lights etc. You can achieve a fully color
managed work-flow using candle light as viewing condition. However,
the graphic industry has decided upon a set of standards. For good
reasons.
