This sounds like a fairly standard CMYK+N profile. Unless your proofing
system supports Hifi (CMYK+N) ICC color profiles, you will not be able
to proof the job with your equipment. Also, if the target device is
using high-gamut color, it is likely your proofs wont be of much use
anyway, since your proofing equipment just won't have the gamut to come
close to what their device is capable of producing.
If they are expecting to be able to match their devices to yours, then
the workflow should be reversed: You give them your output device's
profile, so that they can generate a CMYK-link profile so that their
equipment's gamut is reduced to match yours.
