There is one thing I like about WCS, which is that it is
measurement-based. I would like to see any future ICC standard make it
mandatory, or at least strongly encouraged, that a profile contain in
a public format the measurement data which generated it. Some
proprietary software already does this, I believe, but there is a
temptation to strip this data.
ArgyllCMS embedds the targ measurement tag. And that data is present in
the OpenICC standard print condition profile set.
