I have to agree that it's a strange choice. "dot" == "point", so it's a point release
of the ICC spec. ? (ie. a "minor" change ???).
A better approach might be to give it a project name, and then give it a version
number when/if it is to be released ("8" was suggested, since major versions seem
to be doubling each time, and it is proportional to the complexity of the spec. :-):-))
So something like "ICC NG", "ICC NT", "ICC NM", "ICC SP" or something better.
