something is wrong here ... TAC under 200% is too low, as you can't achieve full secondary colors (you need 100M+100Y to get good Red, right?) .. there are cases in which we use very low TAC, but i am agree with Matt - this level of TAC i never seen at offset printer. IMO you have problem with very high TVI, so check colors and machine ...

So I've been working with some small newspaper printers that have sheetfed offset for some time now and I have been asked if I can do anything to improve their color on the newspaper side. Obviously TAC is a big concern but what other things are of note that I should take into consideration that are really different from commercial sheetfed? They are running a TAC of 180 right now and claim that this is as high as they can get it. Seems to me like something isn't right for it to be so low. They are also running 100lpi. They are open to some R&D to see if they can make the print any better. Any advice?
