As Scott said BasicColor is much more mature and it even has 14 day free trial for their software unlike Xrite. Now we only need to convince them to use dongles instead of per computer activation schemes.

As well, some years back I called X-Rite to inquire as to getting a license to write stock profiles, and was quoted a price of ten grand a quarter--Yes, I said ten grand, and yes, I said per quarter. Of course what that meant was they'd take the first 40 grand a year I managed to make from being in competition with them.
