It appears ColorPort 2.01 isn't working at all. The manifestation is it connects fine, slow green flashing light, but it refuses to suck in the target. ColorPort 1.5.4, MeasureTool, etc. work fine.
Hardware:
Rev C iSis XL
Macbook Pro early 2008 (4,1) or Macbook Pro 2001 (8,2) both running 10.6.6. I have reformatted both drives, and clean installed the system, and then installed only ColorPort 2.01 from the X-Rite web site. In both cases I get the same behavior, flashing green light, but it will not suck in a target.
Once installing ColorPort 2.01, it is not easy to revert back to ColorPort 1.5.4. For me it required manual deletion of the ColorPort application, and its Application Support/X-Rite folder, and two frameworks in /Library/Frameworks, and then finding the /var/db/receipts folder which is hidden, and delete all of the xrite bom files. I'm sure one of these files would have done the trick, probably the colorport bom file, but I had already spent several hours today of regression and didn't feel like regressing the particular file it takes to get the ColorPort installer to do what I want.
Finally, after all of this, I was able to get ColorPort 1.5.4 working on the Macbook Pro 4,1. But not on the 8,2 model. I get over a dozen sequential dialogs complaining about various files and libraries. For this I did yet another special reformat, clean install, and installed only ColorPort 1.5.4 and it does not work.
Which means, at the present time, it appears neither ColorPort works correctly on the latest Apple Macbook Pros (at least, I'm unsure about other models).
