If you are printing through a remote computer, Colorbase only needs to be activated on that remote computer.
However, colorbase files must point to the same USB uri as you had when building them on your local computer.
You can just copy your /Library/Preferences/Epson Colorbase folder to your main print server machine and this will work with any computers printing though that print server. No need to install CB on client computers.
I have tested this in Mac labs only using cups 10.3x and 10.4x
