Colorimeters and third-party developer support

I need some clarification:
As I understand it there are 3 different colorimeters
1- 1- color munki that works with color munki software only
2- 2 - a colorimeter that works for OEM 3rd party software only
3- 3 - a colorimeter that works for xrite software only
Please correct if I’m wrong
Also which model number is which?
