So the students log into these machines over the network? Then much of the benefit of having a calibrated display profile is lost. Remote users won't see modifications to the LUT of the server display (the thing that changes the apparent white point). At least that's true if you're using Screen Sharing that's built into Mac OS X. I'd think it's more important to calibrate the display of the remote machine, the one the students are logging on from (the one physically in front of them).
If it were me, I'd probably just leave the server machine to set to the automatically generated profile that's built for it, because if I'm understanding what you're trying to do, I don't think it'll work.
It's easy to prove this. Have two machines side by side and connect to one from the other using Screen Sharing. Step through the built in calibrator in Expert mode and at each step, set the control button of the rightmost square in the far top left corner. On the server machine this will result in a very blue hue, which you don't see on the client machine. _______________________________________________
