Well if it was *me* that had to do the calibration I'd go out and buy an Isis ;-)
And, as we were using EFI before GMG and had to calibrate for every profile simulation (we proof everything from FOGRA39L through to FOGRA26L) the recal times have been cut by 95%.

We're driving a 9880. What do you think of dotproof? I'd like to have it -- in the same way I like to have 64 bit :-) -- but the only time we are ever asked for dots is when we supply ads to US magazines. I'm not forking out that much cash just to satisfy their specifications as the majority of the proofs never make it to the US because the deadlines are too tight.
Are the dots good/similar enough to catch problems like moiré in fabrics etc? We do a lot of skin and fabric work and I really miss the control we used to have when it was us who made the films :(
