Dear Edmund:
Because if you shot with a full frame 35mm 22Mp or medium format
camera can get better results. I have tested last hour Hasselblad and
work fine. It is not extrange, you get what you paid for.
Maybe if I could work with an unrendered raw image file with ImageJ,
eg, results would be different -then you are right and this is not a
hardware issue- but that is a experimental procedure for me.
I can extend this afimation to all the other involved tools: lens,
neutral balance cards, medium gray cards, IT8.7/1 and IT8.7/2, some
not X-Rite colorcheckers, ilumination sistems. Next month starts a
group to work on image capture in photographic heritage and going to
test all the above and going to share direct and indirect measurements
(I can't measure an IT8.7/1 with i1Pro and instrument grade at factory
is much better) with the other members.
The afirmation is: my camera have limited gamut with ColorChecker SG
as reference.
If have any sugestion to improve my sistem I'll be glad to hear from you.
Thank you
Jose Bueno
