set your leading edge (bottom) margin to .56" (NO LESS!) and your
trailing (top) to the same. Your minimum L and R margins can be 1/8"
or 3mm. I always set them to 1/4".
I have always found that the Epson driver really likes to have margins
set, roll or sheet. I agree with the above comment. The .56 for the
bottom margin in my experience is most important. It can't be any
shorter. The others I usually set at .125 inches or as suggested, .25
inches.
We aren't printing edge-to-edge.
The image we are trying to print is nowhere near the paper size --
there is at least a two inch gap on any side.
Then why not set standard margins? It saves a persons sanity when
trying to use a Printer Driver in a production workflow. And I agree
with you Martin, I much prefer a stand alone RIP to an RGB printer
driver when it comes to production.
