After lurking on this list for a while now, it seems that the most common
topics have to do with resolving printing problems. Although it is true that
niche printing markets will exist for long into the future, it is hard to
refute Steven's claim that, broadly speaking, printing is a shrinking
market. I used to be involved in it myself, but for the past decade, I have
deliberately chosen to focus my career on other areas of digital imaging
(there are many!). Every time I read this list, it confirms to me that I've
made the proper choice. I have great respect for those of you having the
specialized skills (and the necessary tenacity) to overcome obstacles to
make outstanding prints, but have you thought about how will you be earning
your living ten years from now?
