That’s the great thing about the Lanovia, with a scanner bed that’s 13.75 x 18.5” set within a large table top, you can scan A1 originals in sections and then join them together. Unlike the Epson models you can lock these devices down for colour and get perfect scan-to-scan consistency across a large original.
Taping guides to the top of the scanner makes joining easier and Photoshop’s File => Automate => PhotoMerge can piece the scanned sections together faster and more accurately than any operator I’ve met :)
It just saddens me that nobody is manufacturing a modern (and larger) rival to these 130KG beasts.
