You know the record of Adobe RGB (1998) and how it was once SMPTE-240M? Messy.
I'm not sure fixing this is worthwhile, I have to agree with Lars that in the roughly 17 years Adobe RGB (1998) has been around, altering it could affect legacy workflows and that's a big problem. Consequently in the 17 years of Adobe RGB (1998), has this been a problem for many? In fact, why is anyone using Adobe RGB (1998) anyway? Kind of the small side gamut wise IMHO.
