Mike,
If all *anyone* is ever going to use for separation is a single, catch-all CMYK color space then it should be a *synthetic* CMYK color space, like sRGB, with idealized properties, not a space made up from an off-press test data published in 1993? Seems to me that's the direction ISO-15339 was moving? And IDEAlliance. That's all over the center spread in the 2013 Guideline to Print Production!
Anyone from IDEAlliance care to comment further?
