I'm coming from a window$ background here so I admit my newbiness up front.

From reading the CoreAudio documentation, it appears that Audio Units are real time software effects processing units which is something that I definitely want to dive into. Is there any definitive FAQ, Book, or other resource outside of the PDF documentation that can show me some C or Java code that hooks Audio Unit events/methods to Midi events/methods?

If this is way out of the ball park ... I apologize for my ignorance in advance.

Thanks,

Dave
