OMS and Carbon

Re the below - I don't want to run this entirely into the ground, but as
near as I can tell, NAGetDefaultMIDIInput will not work in a Carbon app.
Apple's docs do say that "Carbon fully supports the QuickTime Music
Architecture" but in fact this particular call and a few others have been
tossed off the sled. Probably there was some kind of good reason, but there
you are. So it appears that if I'm compiling a Carbon app I'll have to turn
the OMS stuff into a shared library or plugin or whatever as suggested by
Pete G., unless someone can find a way to put MIDI input back into QT under
Carbon.
