Seeing the post from Cameron (Getting Icons to show for my MIDI plugin), I
am having a similar problem with icons for packages. I am implementing a
package format to store raw audio and all its associated files: an overview
for display, a plist for regions and audio description, etc.
I was wondering 2 things,
1. The icons for the package are stored in the application that understands
the filetype/extension. How can you get the Finder to update and use the
icons, I just keep getting the default icon. (I have an info.plist and
PkgInfo in the package). Is it so lazy at updating that we will have to ask
our users to manually select the application in Finder get info ?
2. Is it worth discussing a loose standard for these packages, I guess
there must be a few of us out there who are doing the same thing. For
example, some standard keys in the info.plist that describe the audio format
and regions within the audio ?
