Thanks, good ideas David.

Do you have an opinion whether a FireWire cross-platform
computer-to-computer audio/midi driver would be feasible? Is there something
special about interrupt timing control in audio/midi hardware interfaces, or
could computers just as easily transfer realtime audio/midi without the
aggravation of the intevening interfaces?
