Is this bug a known issue?
(And... yeah, I use more input devices than output ones, too. But most
of my colleagues use more output devices... But anyway I don't actually
understand why the developer made this interface to have 1 input and 2
outputs instead of 2 in 2 out.)
Thanks,
Jaeho

We're developing a small MIDI interface with 1 input and 2 output
ports. This interface is working very well with Win XP, but one of 2
output ports is not recognized on Mac OS X. We already made 4 in 4
out, and 8 in 8 out interfaces and they are working very well. So I'm
wondering if inputs and outputs should be always in pairs.
Any idea?
Sounds like a bug in the USB class driver.
Is there a special thing we have to consider when making a MIDI
interface for Mac OS X?
Apple will probably fix the bug (it's in the sample driver they put
out, too), but a lot of MIDI applications and devices require pairs of
ports for two way communication with the host. A MIDI interface with
more output puts than input ports strikes me as a rather strange beast
