Really? I would have thought a traditional setup of a master keyboard
feeding the sequencer and modules chained to an output or on separate
outputs from the sequencer was normal.
Sure, but you can chain a bunch of devices on a single output. You
only get one device on an input.
Outputs from modules are only of use
if you are running a librarian on your machine - if you like your JV sounds
how they are in the box (and lets face it, many people do these days) then
you don't need a send from your module.
I certainly use librarians (and editors if I can get them) for all of
my modules.
