I seem to remember seeing Bill Steward here?
Bill is obviously a CoreAudio man while your bug is more in the Carbon
API area ...
Also remember that email discussion lists are not a formal support
channel. Different engineering teams have different levels of
participation in their mailing lists, and it seems the CoreAudio people
are supporting developers to an uncommon degree, but that does not mean
they have a mandate to analyze discussion into a stream of bug reports.
