Out of curiosity, has anyone tried running Kurt Revis's
MIDIMonitor in parallel with Rax and Synthtest, to prove
the stuck note doesn't show up in the monitor too?
One of the open sfront bugs at the moment is a "one stuck
note per few hours" bug that shows up in both sfront and
a MIDIMonitor process running in parallel ... which I took
as a sign that the bug was buying the $200 MIDI controller
new rather than go searching for a used A-80 or KX-88 :-).
The floppy shelf the controller sits on probably doesn't
help the sensing problem either ...
But, if other people are seeing it too, maybe the fault
lies elsewhere. The distinguishing feature in my bug is
that the NoteOff and the next NoteOn for the note number
are both lost -- i.e. either the keyboard "never knew" the
finger ever came up, or something smart in the USB driver
and CoreMIDI path swallows up a second NoteOn w/o an
intervening NoteOff ...
