The Extigy works with 16/48, despite all the claims from Creative Labs. The DACs and ADCs can do
24/96, but the PCM data sent over USB is pure 16bit data at 48kHz. Bandwith should not be the
problem here.

The MIDI driver is not part of Darwin, as it is a pure user space implementation building upon
CoreMIDI (which is not part of Darwin). The generic USB audio driver is a part of Darwin, but making it
work with the Extigy (including mixer) woud not be fixing the driver but modifying it to work with a
non-standard device.
The sample MIDI driver appears to be broken, as I reported in a seperate email.
