On Neve Consoles you have a setting who's name slips my mind(touch
Record) that once you release the fader it jumps back to its original
position at a predefined Rate. (Latch Record the fader stays put once
it is released)
Also Please Implement and Arrow Icon pointing in the direction the user
should move the mouse.
Also Have a Default position command either a Double/Triple Click....
that brings everything to the Unity Gain or Default value.
Ohh and My Favorite is when the Mouse Cursor Does Not Move when you are
dragging it Only the Knob & Or Values.
Look at Bryce, Maya, or 3DStudio Max for some good examples of other
controls. I am a big fan of Bryce but I have had many people say they
dont like it ???
I hate CIRCULAR KNOBS B.J.'s Knobs Work Great I like The UP or Right
Increases Down or Left Decreases This is natural to a large portion of
people.
I had a system where the mouse cursor turns into a Fader when you click
on the object and moving the mouse Up Raises the Fader and Down Lowers
it Though this does not sound like it applies to your situation this
was for Clicking on Midi Notes and Changing Values. Holding the leter
"V" and Clicking would change velocity and so on......

p.s. B.J. Knows His Stuff.
Sorry my first list post Hope things got sent ok
