Using Timestamps in AUMIDIControllerHandleMIDI()

  • Subject: Using Timestamps in AUMIDIControllerHandleMIDI()

Hey all,
Am I correct is assuming that any timestamps in my packet list will be ignored when I call AUMIDIControllerHandleMIDI, and all the events will be processed immediately regardless of the timestamps?

If I'm correct in thinking this, is there any way around it? I was thinking that if need be, I could create a virtual destination, set the kMIDIPropertyAdvanceScheduleTimeMuSec to 0, and basically make this virtual destination just echo whatever it receives to the AUMIDIController. Would this work, or would there possibly be a simpler way?

Thanks,
Zico Kolter
