Apple:DLSMusicDevice crash

  • Subject: Apple:DLSMusicDevice crash

Apparently the DLSMusicDevice does not like to have its maximum frame size set to 2048 or greater. After setting the max frame size and then sending it buffers of 2048 samples it produces some bad echo sounding output and then proceeds to crash in AudioUnitUninitialize.

This is on a dual G4 processor, 100% reproducible (so far) running 10.2.5. I will try 10.2.6 to see if it fairs any better.

If anyone needs more info or would like me to file a 'Radar', please let me know.

Jeremy
