  • Thread-topic: Port Name in 10.2.7 and beyond

I asked this question last week sometime and later found that it wasn't specific enough. Anyway, nobody offered any insight, so I thought that I would try one more time.

The sound preferences panel changed in 10.2.8 on the G5, to list the port name. Is there a way to provide a custom name here, rather than the generic "PCI Card"? It seems to be tied to the value that you pass to setDeviceTransportType.

Thanks,
Rob
