I think it would be very helpful if the Digidesign folks elaborated
exactly what an app needs to do and/or set in order to be acceptable to
the driver.
I've now got a theory that ReVision is not working with Digidesign
hardware because it uses two IOProcs (one for QuickTime, the other for
ReWire) but it's all a mystery to be honest.
I also happened to read on the Digidesign site that with the most
recent drivers users now need to "opt in" non-Digidesign apps....
Perhaps this might be a reason why the latest issue of Music Tech
magazine claims that OS X is only slightly better than OS 9 at handling
multi-client access to the audio hardware. I think OS X and HAL does a
splendid job of handling this (when they're allowed to) but dealing
with this sort of thing would certainly give a user a different
impression!

Hi,
My app uses the DefaultAudioUnit.
A user claims that it impossible to get any sound from it after
installing the most recent CoreAudio driver for Digidesign 001
Is there a known problem with this driver and the DefaultAudioUnit or
is it just a system setting he is missing?
Thanks for any help
