to go PCMCIA or FireWire?

I've been pretty happy with my M-Audio Audiophile USB. Haven't tried it yet with GarageBand, but it works well with Live, Reason and a few others. The only complaint I have is that it loses MIDI connectivity when running the OS X version of the Nord Modular Editor, but I can probably blame that on the software (which is basically alpha quality; it's not a supported product).
