Hmm, unless I am mistaken, AU Lab appears to be presenting both Carbon *and*
Cocoa generic views for AudioUnits under Panther, 10.3.9 with the latest
QuickTime and CoreAudio SDK that are valid for Panther.

So it at least seems possible to build a host app that will run on Panther and
present the Cocoa generic view under Panther.

Haven't tried it yet, though, nor have I looked for the related AU Lab source...
