Yes, but is Apple doing anything to encourage/bribe audio hardware developers
to implement playthrough controls?  I'd really like to see someone support
this, if only as a proof of concept that CoreAudio has the right design.  My
estimation is that MOTU are the best choice to prod, since some of the other
hardware makers seem to be hard to work with.
