Hello Bill,
now I installed auval and it is working, including showing my new AU.
But "AudioUnitHosting" didn't and doesn't work - now I use "CocoaAUHost"
and it is working fine.

AU... Try just building the sample effect as it is shipped in the SDK
and see if that shows up first.

IMO Logic 7 validates the AUs at startup with auval and Logic 7

Another (additional) prob is, that the application

There is only the AU "ET1" from emagic, but not my new built
component, which I copied in the global components directory where
ET1 is stored, too. And it's not shown like described in the Apple
Introduction, but only with the UI-Look of ET1!?
Maybe this is a sideeffect of the missing auval?
My search in the list archive didn't lead to solutions for the
problems.
I would be glad, if sombody can help me.
